浪涛拍打着海岸，一支红军的幸存部队从里海岸边向卡拉库姆大沙漠撤退。从死亡的包围圈里冲出重围的有23名战士和政委叶夫秀柯夫。他们中有一名女战士——玛留特卡，她是神枪手，弹无虚发，她的死亡簿上已经有40个白军了。一天夜里，他们架起了篝火，正躺下宿营的时候，忽然听到骆驼队的蹄声自远而近，玛密特卡叫醒了政委。政委命令大家从四面围上去，不得把骆驼打死。他们和骆驼队的哥萨克兵交火激战，一个白匪军官躲在骆驼后面朝他们射击，玛留特卡放了一枪，满以为准能打死这“第四十一”个，谁知未中。那军官从骆驼后面伸出一把挂着白手帕的刺刀，成了这支红军部队的俘虏。白匪的这些骆驼是由吉尔吉斯村民牵来的，那个吉尔吉斯老头把骆驼牵回，政委征用了其中的一半。红军战士们从白匪中尉身上嵌着的一个暗兜里搜出一份文件，文件证明这个军官姓戈沃鲁哈一奥特洛克，是个近卫军中尉，他被高尔察克海军上将委派为驻邓尼金的里海东部政府全权代表，他负有秘密使命，要向德拉琴柯白匪将军面陈。政委试图让其招出秘密使命，但他缄口不言。政委决定把他押到司令部去审问。政委把看管这个重要人犯的任务交给了冯留特卡。 玛留特卡发现这个俘虏的眼睛澄蓝澄蓝的，和海水一样的蓝，她几乎都不敢看他的眼睛，这双眼睛撩得她心慌意乱的。但她立即记起了自己的任务是严加看管，于是便用骆驼级绳捆绑他的双手，连睡觉也不给松绑。当天夜里，那个吉尔吉斯村民乘哨兵丘皮尔柯失职睡着的时候，把骆驼悉数牵走，还杀死了看管骆驼的战士马满库尔。风雪交加，这支幸存的红军部队在沙丘上走着。只剩下11个人了，其余的战士在这艰险的路程上已一个个倒下。只有一小锅水了，他们传递着一人喝一口。行进的队伍排成单行在盐碱地上走着。一个人倒了下去，战士们忙拥上去抬他，画面上立即化出一个坟堆，坟顶上插着用盐木枯枝做成的十字架。战士们艰辛地走过了大沙漠，沿着阿拉尔海岸走去，他们来到一个吉尔吉斯村落。村民们招待他们饱餐一顿抓饭。吉尔吉斯姑娘阿尔腾挪对白匪中尉仅剩下的一个肩章发生了兴趣，玛留特卡伸手扯下中尉的肩章给了她。 吉尔吉斯帐篷里烧着火盆，战士们都睡了，马密特松在阿尔腾娜给她的一张纸上写诗。中尉好奇地想听听她写的诗。玛留特卡念了一段，诗中描绘红军如何同哥萨克作战。中尉称赞她“感情丰富”，建议她以后好好学习，冯日特卡盼望能进学校学习作诗。她突然关切地问中尉：被捆绑着的手是否很痛？ 她让中尉起誓决不逃跑之后，替他松了绑。红军战士离开了吉尔吉斯村庄继续上路，他们在海岸上发现一条被大风吹来的渔船。政委让战士们把船修好，决定派玛留特卡与两名战士押着中尉从海路出发去司令部，自己带领其他人沿海岸步行前进，以便沿途招募新兵。 他嘱咐玛留特卡不得让这个俘虏逃走，否则以军法论处，如遇到白党，不能把活人留给他们。 渔船出发了，中尉拿着胶，他过去有私人游艇，其他的人还真不会驾船！ 玛留特卡里着海水，又望望中尉的眼睛，不禁叹道：“天啊！你的眼睛蓝得跟海水一样！”海上起风了，乌云遮天，疾风阵阵，巨浪把两个男战士卷入海中，海水灌进了船舱。中尉吓得划十字，浪涛抛掷着小船，船被冲到了一个孤岛上，均留特卡和中尉着陆了。他们走到一个板房鱼仓里，设法点上了火，用鱼作燃料，坐在火旁烤供湿衣服。中尉冻病了，说起了呓语，把玛留特卡称作《鲁滨逊飘流记》中的”礼拜五”。玛留特卡到海边的船上去找吃的，谁知船已不见踪影。中尉昏睡不醒，玛留特卡细心照料着他。他醒后感激不已，认为她“比保姆还好”。他要抽烟，这位女战士把写诗的纸给他卷烟，她还告诉中尉：俘虏他的时候，她就感到他的蓝眼睛对女人来说太危险……玛留特卡在海边发现了一所有玻璃窗、有炉子的渔民小屋，他们就从板房往小屋里搬家。玛留特卡背着大袋，提着小包，生怕中尉累着，只给了他一个小背兜。他们意外地在小屋的床底下找到了面粉、一大米。中尉夸奖这位女战士能干，没有她，他早就活不成了。玛留特卡只盼着两星期后，渔民们来运鱼时能救他们出去。她不明白为什么中尉老管她叫“礼拜五”，于是，中尉给她讲了《鲁滨逊飘流记》玛留特卡听得都出神了。她奇怪中尉怎么知道这么多故事，中尉说他过去是研究语言学的大学生，生活优裕，在彼得堡的家里三面墙都摆着书柜，中尉因病后体虚，不能多说。玛留特卡怜惜地吻他的脸颊，他也吻她，他们相爱了。 俩人在沙滩上追逐，陶醉在爱情中。兴尽优来，他们躺在海滩上，各想各的心事。中尉担心自己的美好年华在这愁煞人的大海中虚度。玛留特卡则思念着战友们。中尉不以为然地奚落了布尔什维克的真理，两人发生了争执，玛留特卡打了中尉一记耳光。中尉终于主动求和。他们虽然还在相爱，但他们的观点立场迅然不同。玛密特卡在这里已难以忍耐，她盼着渔船来，要是三天后渔船还不来，她就要朝自己的脑门开枪了。地平线上出现了一条帆船，两人都挥舞着手臂雀跃起来。一只小划子离开了帆船，划子上坐着几个白匪军，中尉欢呼着跑入水中。玛留特卡一再夺其站住，他却继续在水中奔跑。玛密特卡犹疑再三，终于放了一枪，中尉停止了奔跑，慢慢倒了下去，他终于成了她格下的“第四十一”个。中尉躺在海水里，玛留特卡奔过去，把他的头紧紧地抱在怀里，哭喊着：“蓝眼睛……我的蓝眼睛！” 鲜血映着蓝蓝的海水，浪花拍击着海岸……

Later in the series, the rangers are joined by Tommy, the once evil Green Ranger designed for Rita's evil, but later was deprogrammed and spent two portions of the series briefly as the Green Ranger. Over time, some rangers had to pass their powers to others as well. Action scenes and scenes with Rita were edited from footage based on Japanese action sagas.
